UND is the award-winning initiative of a working group in the research field of experimental spatial concepts at hessian state university with the cultural background of eleven nations. UND was founded in 2020 on the impetus of an association to promote diversity, tolerance, and international understanding.
The cultural potential of the city is condensed in UND: it is the city in miniature in the middle of the city. The cultures of the world met the cultures of the region.
UND was a place for all people. It was open to people of all origins, all gender orientations, and all ages.
UND Offenbach offered a mix of international and regional, mercantile and cultural offers: Food, food, and drink, handicrafts, textiles, music, performance, literature, everyday culture, knowledge transfer, community, and participation.
UND saw itself as a complement and not as a competitor to the city centre's retail, gastronomy, and weekly market offerings and weekly market.
